AFIQ mobile app

Your reflections stay with you.

AFIQ is a private, local-first space for questions and reflection. This privacy policy covers the AFIQ mobile app published by Alpha Beata. For privacy questions, contact CEO@afiq.ai.

Last updated: 17 September 2026.

Information on your device

Your questions, answers, editable transcripts, reflection history and saved reminder settings are held in the app’s encrypted local Vault. App preferences are also stored locally. AFIQ does not send your reflections to its own servers, an AI API or an advertising service. This release has no cloud sync.

Voice input and permissions

Microphone access is requested when you choose voice input. Speech recognition runs on your device when a compatible local recogniser is available. If it is not, you can type instead or choose to download an optional on-device voice pack. Your audio is processed for transcription, not saved as a recording by AFIQ. Transcripts you save become part of your local Vault.

The voice pack is downloaded only at your request from Hugging Face and its delivery providers. Those providers receive ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and the requested file, under their own policies. The download does not contain your audio or reflections. After installation, the model runs locally and can be removed in Settings.

Accounts, email and payments

This release does not require or create an AFIQ account, collect an email address in the app, or activate paid subscriptions.

If you use an email contact or product-updates option, your email application opens a draft. Nothing is sent until you send it. We use messages and email addresses you send us to respond or provide the updates you request. They are not sold. You may unsubscribe or request deletion at any time by emailing CEO@afiq.ai. Update-list addresses are retained until you unsubscribe, request deletion or the list closes.

Analytics and app stores

The app contains no third-party product-analytics or advertising SDK. Operating systems and app stores may provide installation, performance or crash information under their own policies. AFIQ does not include reflection content in those reports.

This public website has separate analytics and waitlist practices, described in the website privacy policy. Visiting this page does not give the website access to your app’s Vault.

Reminders, retention and deletion

Question reminders use local operating-system notifications, with your permission. Your device’s lock-screen and notification settings determine what others nearby may see. AFIQ does not use a server to deliver these reminders.

Your saved reflections remain on your device until you delete them. You can delete entries and remove the optional voice pack in the app. Uninstalling AFIQ removes local app data according to your operating system’s rules. AFIQ cannot recover your local Vault from a server. For data you deliberately sent by email, contact us to request deletion.

Who this release is for

This release is intended for adults and teenagers aged 13 and over, not children under 13. AFIQ is a reflection tool, not a medical or emergency service.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy and the store disclosures before enabling account sync, analytics, payments or another material change in how the app handles data.
